UPDATES, SECRET PROJECTS, AND MISCELLANY Hmm. After 3:00 pm out right here within the Wild Wild West and only just sitting down to put in writing this week’s blog publish. Shame on meâ€"type of. I wrote a swell post yesterday, but it’s a kind of that has to have a certain set of eyes on it and a particular okay before I really feel comfy running it, and I didn’t get that earlier than I needed to run off to a lunch assembly, get a haircut, and do another work. Now it’s after 6:00 back east in order that “okay” isn’t likely to seem today. What’s a blogger to do? How about a bunch of random little topics not worthy of a full-on weblog post? (At least, not yet.) Okay, then. In no particular order . . . PROLOGUE BOOKS We’re making vital progress on the science fiction, fantasy, and horror choices from Prologue Books (okay, I’ll admit it, that’s the submit I’m waiting for an okay on) and I can no less than point out a listing of SF and fantasy books that have type of snuck out into the world beneath that i mprint. There’s some nice stuff here, additionally in no specific order: A Song in Stone by Walter H. Janiver These are superb books, beginning with one which’s fairly new, and a bunch more that firmly reside in “classic” territory. More on what I needed to do with all this at a later date. In the meantime, comply with those links, buy those books, and luxuriate in! THE FATHOMLESS ABYSS I am presently sitting on the primary Fathomless Abyss novella that has truly been accomplished, and that by J.M. McDermott. I was supposed to finish mine firstâ€"it must be on the market now, trulyâ€"but excuses excuses excuses and references again to those two relevant posts: Depression and Writer’s Block and Save the Bullshit Excuses And anyway, I should have had Joe’s e-book read and notes despatched again to him every week in the past, however I got caught up in some should-do projects, consulting work, Emerald City Comicon, and other issues that shouldn’t have prevented me from digging into that manuscript, particularly since I truly need to learn that more than I want to do that different stuff. Well, ECCC was fun. . . . I will save additional bullshit excuses and get on that this afternoon. I promise. I will also get again to my own novella, Devils of the Endless Deep, and have a completed first draft by May 1, damn it. SECRET PROJECTS It looks like I all the time have some batch of irons within the fire, and I actually have heaps simmering proper now. All the times I’m advised “No thanks,” or “Not on this lifetime, asshole,” or some variation on that theme, properly . . . that’s between me and whoever it was who clearly failed to recognize my genius. PROFESSOR ATHANS Dig it.
